Split Roman Legion – Days of Diocletian

Ever year, as part of the Days of Diocletian celebration here, various re-enactments are held featuring men and women in Roman dress. Like “legions” of Civil War re-enacters in the US, in Europe there are a good number of Roman history buffs who form Roman legions and travel to venues like ours here in Split. So here is one of them, marching through the Pjaca square, with their drummer and standard bearer, in full dress.
