Ferry travel to Ancona
We will be traveling between Ancona and Split in September. I would like to know if it is necessary to check in with authorities in Split before returning to Italy. If necessary, where can I find the office at the port?

Traveling by ferry in regards to air plane flights, there is no need for any kind of check in. It’s important to have a valid ticket with date of departure. I remind you that all passport formalities will be performed on board at the moment of boarding.
If you have a cabin this will be assigned on board. So it isn’t necessary to check in advance.
For international ferries between Italy and Croatia you must show up at least 2 hours prior to departure.
