Makarska Riviera apartments are the best choice of accommodation when planning to visit this most fascinating Croatia’s Riviera.

This belief comes from the fact, not only because, this type of accommodation is more numerous, but primarily because of the quality, price convenience and their position near the seaside.

The number of apartments in the entire length of Makarska Riviera is practically impossible to estimate.

Brela
Brela

Starting from Brela, all the way to  Gradac, visitors will be in a dilemma, which apartment to rent for summer holidays. See the Riviera’s map!

Like in every region of Croatia, there are areas which are off the beaten track while some are more visited.

Along the Makarska Riviera, Brela and Baska Voda are hot-spots while Gradac and Drvenik are less visited, but not less attractive.

As a result, prices of Makarska Riviera apartments tend to be higher in areas before Makarska town, than in those more south of Makarska Riviera capital.

Another crucial factor is the tourist reputation of each of these small fishermen settlements. Without any doubts, Brela and Baska Voda, are the most famous and the most visited villages.

Recommended Makarska Riviera Apartments

To help you find the most suitable apartments for your holidays, I’ve tried to examine only those that offer the most useful features, such as:

  • Proximity to the sea.
  • Private parking for tourists traveling by car.
  • Swimming pool.
  • Air Conditioned.
  • Apartments offering airport shuttle.
  • High-speed internet or free WIFI.
  • Laundry service.
  • Guest rating from superb (10 points) to very good (8 points).
  • Family friendly apartments.
  • Restaurant services.

It’s quite normal that your Makarska Riviera apartments search will start from Brela and Baska Voda.

Many travelers are sometimes wandering about which place to decide on. for their holidays. In order to help you decide, here are some differences between these places to know before you get there.

The difference in not in beaches beauties. as both villages have beautiful ones with great scenery.  The difference lies in the fact that in Brela you will find more places where to relax then in Baska Voda.

Baska Voda has a larger center than Brela and all principal beaches are closer to the village center. As a consequence in high season Baska Voda is more crowded and visitors looking for a quiet and relaxing beach, will have a difficulty to find one in  Baska Voda.

Tucepi Makarska Riviera apartments

Only 9k from Makarska driving south along D8 coastal road, you you will be enchanted with another picturesque village,  Tucepi.

Tucepi is known by many pebble beaches and particularly with some nudist ones, like Nugal nudist beach, located jus before Tucepi village. Visit Dalmatia nudist beaches page to have more information.

Zivogosce apartments

Continuing the journey to the south of Tucepi, the villages you’ll come across are Igrane and Zivogosce.

This scenic village is only Makarska, nested on the slopes of mountain Biokovo and bounded with beautiful gravel beaches.

If you are traveling by car, keep in mind the on of the problem you can face is a lack of parking places in Zivogosce. To avoid this problem, I’ve selected some apartments with their own parking place.

** Apartments offering airport shuttle and private parking.
