Although you may not get that impression at first, Croatia truly does have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are literally thousands of amazing beaches in Dalmatia you could visit and find your own place under the sun, but it’s still not very often one of them gets included in a world’s top best beaches.

Skyscanner published their own list of world’s top 10 best beaches, and Croatia’s own Lovrecina beach found itself in the 2nd place. Even though it’s not the most famous beach, Lovrecina is stunningly beautiful, calm and one of the nicest places to enjoy nature and warm sea. Lovrečina cove is located on the northern shore of island Brac (Brač), and is known for its large sandy beach and valuable archeological findings.

Surrounded by pine trees and tall poplars, the beach has plenty of natural shade, as well as a restaurant offering a wide range of fish or meat dishes. Lovrecina can be reached by a boat or a car. It’s also very suitable for children due to the shallow sea.

Although this video hardly does Lovrecina beach the justice it deserves, you might enjoy it anyway.

The other beaches on Skyscanner’s list included more known locations such as Hawaii, Australia, Greece, Seychelles, Ibiza, Philippines and England. Topping their list is Laguna Beach in California, and it’s great to see Croatia in such amazing company.

If you’re planning a trip to Croatia this summer be sure to consider Lovrecina beach and Brac Island as your destination, or at least make it a part of your trip. When you’re thinking about the world’s most beautiful beaches Croatia may not immediately come to mind, but we certainly have our own share of places worth visiting.
