What are the standards for one restaurant to gain the epithet as a romantic place?

One of the most important conditions is a sea view and a look at the old town.

To advise someone where to spend a romantic evening in Dubrovnik, may be a responsible task as almost all of them have a magnificent setting.

Many of these restaurants are facing the sea but only in some of them you can have a very romantic dinner while the sun is setting over the Old Town and nearby Lokrum island. What could be more romantic?

Romantic Restaurants In Dubrovnik With A View

When looking for romantic place nothing is allowed to distract you from the only two things that matter – the food and the view.

Dubrovnik has many excellent restaurants but the most of them are in the very city center and only few looking out at the Adriatic sea.

If you are planning to visit Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic see, here are some of the most attractive and romantic restaurants in Dubrovnik, where the food and the view make difference.

What will be an exquisite seafood menu like lobster or oysters and mussels from Ston without the dramatic vista of the old harbor and walled city from one side and green Lokrum island from the other.

If you are looking for romantic setting while you are on the beach, than you can’t miss a trendy Saint Trope-style East-West restaurant, on the famous Banje Beach. Check all Dubrovnik beaches?

When strolling Dubrovnik walls and old city port, there are some restaurants with exquisite decoration and setting. Here are some of my favorite!

Ekvinocijo Restaurant (Konoba) is an excellent little, hidden restaurant, which sits in the shadow of a high city wall along the sea. It’s unique among  small hidden romantic restaurants in Dubrovnik.

Hidden away in the old town, close to the Aquarium, this friendly, family-run eatery serves up tasty Dalmatian dishes such as lobster soup, freshly seafood and locally produced sausages. Outdoor tables are arranged on a small terrace. It is opened from May to mid-October.

The restaurant 360° is located in the Old town of Dubrovnik, 1 min from Ploce gate or 5 min from Pile gate. This restaurant has just a superb location! It’s right at the end of the city walls overlooking the old harbor.

The 360° belongs to top end restaurant, specialized in Mediterranean cuisine and in classic French gastronomy.

Each time I visit Dubrovnik my favorite restaurant is Lokanda Peskarija at the Old Port. It’s a typical fish budget restaurant. No restaurant can beat this restaurant prices and unique location.

In high season it’s always crowded but the food is good value and very tasty. I like its setting right on the harbor edge.

Although the most romantic restaurants in Dubrovnik are located within the old walls or in the immediate vicinity, Lapad peninsula, as one of the most beautiful parts of Dubrovnik offers some restaurants with a splendid view.

One of Lapad restaurants is Levanat, a top choice for a romantic meal with a seaside terrace and magnificent views onto the open sea and the rocky islets of Grebeni and Sveti Andrija.
